Marvel Universe Storm Review

I hope I don't sound like a broken record but over here where I live we don't see the newer Marvel Universe waves for months. It doesn't make sense because other cities around a thirty or so mile radius around me see new waves but I never see the newer figures unless it's in a collector's *coughscalpercough* store.  

Marvel Legends Hope Summers

Here we have Hope Summers.  The next newest member of my Exile team.  I originally wasn't going to get her because she was so hard to find, but she popped up at all my local Targets recently so I picked one up.   Hope is a great toy with her only flaw being her inability to stand up correctly due to her top heavy accessories and small feet. 

The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultra Posable Spider-Man

Here's a much more recent figure I bought.  I originally wasn't going to get this guy because I don't really like his leg joints.    But the more I play with him the more I enjoy the figure.     It reminds me a lot of an old Spider-Man toy I still have somewhere that was really fun to play with.  It was "Ultra Poseable" at the time and this figure brought back memories.    I picked it up on sale at a Target for under eight bucks so I highly recommend him if you want a Spidey and fits in with the Marvel movie toys. 

Marvel Universe Age of Thunder Thor

Ok I know I've been griping about how expensive these little guys are how I'm not going to buy anymore of them and well...  I got one more.  The only reason I bought this guy was to complete my 3.75 inch Avengers movie team.  Well not the actual movie figures but what figures I think fits nicely into the team.  I got Thor for a whooping $12.23 with tax!   Hardly justifiable to buy these little guys for so much when they're coming with less and less.   The new Marvel Universe figures don't even come with stands anymore!   Just small cardboard cutout artwork.        

Marvel Universe Black Widow

This review totally slipped past me somehow.  I thought I had posted this review a while ago. Browsing though my photos, and then my blog, I noticed that I had not reviewed this figure even though I had the photos for over six months now.  

I see Black Widow going for over $20 now on websites and I do not think that is worth it for such a small toy.  She sports the old standard Marvel Universe female body and comes with minimal accessories so try not to pay too much for her unless you have a super fan.  I think I got her via Amazon for around $11 because I joined the Marvel Universe game late.    

Marvel Universe X-23 Review

I actually have a bunch of toys I haven't opened yet and I'm kind of lagging on this blog.  I don't think I'm going to buy anymore humanoid American toys for a while.  I've become spoiled by Japanese toys!   I think I will only collect more X-Men to build up a team similar to what I'm doing for my DC figures and my Justice Lanterns.  

Ignore the price tag.  My friend actually picked this up for me for about $4.00 though a deal this scalper had.   With the possibility of the newer female Marvel Universe bodies I say pick up X-23 even if she is missing her feet claws. 

Marvel Universe Commander Steve Rogers Review

Just uploading the pictures before I go to Japan to hold the space. 


...and after almost a month after uploading these photos I am going to talk about this toy.   This is my most pose able Marvel Universe to date and I really like him.  I kind of wish I brought him to Japan to take photos/have a cheaper toy to play with since I don't really want to play with my more expensive toys over here.

I've also become super lazy about typing over here so here's some pretty pictures of Commander Steve Rogers.

Oh yeah other than not having a shield for himself this guy is awesome!

Marvel Universe The Hulk Review

I've already reviewed a Marvel Universe Hulk here.  As I mentioned earlier I was at the local mall one night and was surprised by the toy fair.   I saw tons of Marvel Universe figures and a lot of them were priced $12+ but one booth didn't have them labeled so I asked the guy how much they were and he said most of them were $10 so I didn't hesitate and picked up Red Hulk and Grey Hulk that day since other vendors were selling them for $15+.  I didn't the regular one here til the next day.  Anywho I'm a happy camper with my purchases.

Marvel Universe Scarlet Spider Review

Woo at that toy fair I picked up a bunch of Marvel Universes for around $10-12 dollars.  I don't normally like paying that much for them but they are pretty awesome and they had ones I wanted.  First up the Scarlet Spider variant!

Marvel Legends Psylocke Review

Unlike her fellow X-Men Psylocke is only $11 bucks on Amazon with Prime.  I really enjoy the the Marvel Universe line so I thought this might be a good deal to see if I like the larger figures.  Each of the other X-Men cost around $30 so I thought if I liked this figure I might want to invest in a future X-Men.

My verdict is I'll wait to see what future Marvel Legends come with.  Psylocke really didn't come with anything, not even her Psychic knife.  On the plus side she's can be put into a bunch of poses.  However they look really lame because she of the missing accessories or figure stands.  Curse you impulse buys from Amazon.   Well not really since I'm on a toy kick instead of going out every weekend and blowing all my money on food and drink. 

Marvel Concept Series Captain America and Red Skull Review

I went to Target yesterday with my friends.  Getting there early meant I browsing the aisle all by my lonesome.  I thought I found a good deal when I found this for $9.08.  I thought this find was awesome for that price because I thought these would be two marvel universe-type figures.  To cut the review short so I do not bore you.  DO NOT BUY THESE FIGURES!!! 

Marvel Universe Mystique Review

For my first review I'll be looking at Marvel Universe Mystique.   I have a lot of toys mainly consisting of Transformers but I decided do my first post on a new toy I received in the mail today.  I paid eleven dollars for this toy though Amazon.com.  My friend Barry was the one who got me to start buying these little 3.75 inch figures and they're pretty nifty because they boast many points of articulation and don't take up a whole lot of space.  Displaying five of these little guys takes up about as much room as three deluxe Transformers.  Alright enough of my jibber jabber and let's get on with looking at the toy.
