Transformers Prime Soundwave

I have an unwritten, unenforced rule that if i'm going to pay full price for a figure it better be something I really like. I paid around $13 for Soundwave and while he is my favorite Decepticon I think this toy wasn't worth it.   This time Soundwave is flimsy, and feels brittle.   Soundwave just doesn't feel like I got my bang for my buck.    Oh yeah he comes with a weak Laserbeak.   But it's better than having to buy a Laserbeak seperately.  

Transformers Prime Cyberverse Megatron

For today's review I have here the Cyberverse sized Megatron.   I like this figure a lot more than Bulkhead due to Megs being able to pose better.   He does have two faults in my opinion and that is legs only have the single joint at the knee and no ball jointed foot.   Megatron's alternate mode also really sucks.   I do not like the alt mode at all.  

Transformers Prime: Cyberverse Bulkhead

 This time I'll be showing you Transformers Prime Bulkhead!    This is the Cyberverse version and I bought it for about nine dollars which I kind of regret.    I still remember when deluxe figures where ten dollars and for that price they were highly articulated.    While Bulkhead is fun the figure lacks in certain areas.   The thing that bugs me the most about this figure is the huge hallow back and how Bulkhead has a little trouble standing up.   While I love the leader class Animated Bulkhead this Prime toy is a fun desk toy.   It's poses are a bit limited though because of the single jointed knees and non-moving ankles.  

Transformers Prime Wheeljack

I'm not really too much of a fan of this toy.  My friend Barry owed me money so instead of giving me back the cold hard cash he got me this toy.   While Wheeljack isn't a bad toy the arms are kind of a deal breaker for me.  They do have ball joints on their shoulders but their single jointed elbows really hinder  the toy's posing ability.    I won't talk too much so you can enjoy the pictures and make your own decision on whether or not to spend the money on this guy here.  

 

Transformers Generations Warpath

I'm really starting to lag with this.   With the exception of Goku I'm only on my toys I got from Dec/Jan.   Sad faced.  I really like toys but I'm just running out of room and I've had to put the majority of my toys into storage.  Mainly because I don't have a lot of room like my old place and because I don't wanna keep on dusting my toys.    

Anywho after a bunch of rumbling here is Warpath.      It's an amazing Transformer I got back in January and despite the simple engineering Warpath is really fun to play with.   He can pose very well for a Transformer and his transformation from robot to tank is really simple.   

Transformers Reveal the Shield Wreckgar

This review, like Jazz, is a little late.  Mainly due to the fact I never saw this guy in stores ever.   When I saw this on Amazon for $10 I jumped on it and bought two so this guy could have something to ride on.  However I haven't opened it yet to show off a picture.   I hear you can also buy this guy for $5 around the country and I'm jealous.  After a quick glance around the price for Wreck-gar has gone back up to around $20.   

The only downside to this figure is transforming him back into a vehicle can get a bit tricky trying to get all the panels to line up flush. 

Transformers Reveal the Shield Jazz

I'm a little late to the game reviewing this but I didn't pick this guy up until I got him for $9.99 on Amazon.com.   I've read about Jazz going for almost half the price at some Rosses/Walmarts/etc but I've personally only seen one of these guys over here in the Bay Area and I bought it quickstyle for my friend.  Now I have a  Jazz of my own and I think he is awesome!   The Transformers: Reveal the Shield line is really impressive to me.  Comparing this line to the older Classics/Universe/Generations line the engineering for each wave has really improved.  

Hasbro Transformers Masterpiece Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime Review

*POST IS VERY PICTURE HEAVY* My toy also did not come with instructions which is why the vehicle mode is very awkward. 

Masterpiece Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime is a toy I've been wanting since I was a child.  Since The Transformers movie came out the same year I was born I didn't get to see the movie til about seven years later and by then I didn't see any Hot Rod toys in stores.  2006 was when I got my first Hot Rod/Rodimus toy and it was the Classics version.  That toy sparked my toy collecting interest again and I haven't stopped buying toys since. 


When Masterpiece Rodimus Prime was announced I was excited to finally see a toy I've wanted for years.  However the asking price of $200+ really put me off.  I waited to see reviews and I was glad I did not spend so much money on the Japanese version because of the bad quality control.  Despite the QC issues I was always tempted to save up and buy the figure until the announcement of the Hasbro release and the price point of around $50-$70 dollars. 

When this toy first hit ToysRUs.com  it sold out in one day and I was mad because I didn't have  the lousy last 72 cents in my account to pay for shipping.   Needless to say fast forward several months and now I have him and he is pretty awesome. 

Hunt for the Decepticons: Human Alliance Sideswipe Review

I'm gonna do two toy posts today.  Only because after work I was asked to pick up milk and forks from Target but ran into a Toy Fair at the mall attached to the Target I decided to stop at.  After working a long and hard shift I feel lucky because I got to see an awesome Toy Fair.  Needless to say this thing is cash only so I have to get money for these Marvel Legends I want to buy.  Instead of getting six for $10 each I look up and see Sideswipe for $15.   I've always wanted a cheap Human Alliance figure and with no tax I didn't hesitate to add this to my purchase.

Long story short I got this guy for cheap.

Transformers Dark of the Moon Roadbuster Review

I got Roadbuster with targets $9.99 sale.  He looks really cool on the package but in actuality he's just a "shellformer"  His articulation is awesome but his backpack left over from shellforming really makes him unawesome.  I say pass unless you really liked the Wreckers from the movie and have to collect all three. 

Transformers Dark of the Moon: Mech Tech Laserbeak Review

 I can't believe I only have on other Transformer review on here.  Oh well here's Laserbeak from Dark of the Moon.  He's really hard to find in stores and when one of my local Targets had this on sale for $9.99 I picked him up to go with my Soundwave collection.  He looks really good in plane mode but suffers in bird mode because of his doofy looking head.  Another thing I'm not getting is because he's bird already, why does Laserbeak turn into a hoverplane drone thing?  If he's already a robot bird what's the point of turning into something else that can fly?

Transformers Battle in Space 2 pack Review

I picked this Transformers two pack up on a weekend trip with my friends.  I believe we were going to Davis for the annual Picnic Day celebration and we stopped at Walmart.  I believe I paid around twenty-two to twenty-five dollars for this which I think is a really good price considering one deluxe Transformer goes for $14.99. Hot Rod/Rodimus is my favorite Transformer and the Cyclonus mold shown here is really awesome.  I won't bore you with too many details here since there are many, many video and written reviews on these two guys here (mainly all their different repaints).  I mainly wanted to show off how awesome they were and write a few words of encouragement for people to buy this 2-pack while it is still nice and cheap.
