Dark Spiderman = Dark Avenger's Spider-Man = Venom III = The Scorpion
Dark Wolverine = Dark Avenger's Wolverine = Wolverine's son = Daken
I recently bought Masterpiece Rodimus Prime from Toys R Us and only had to spend like $15 bucks to get free shipping. I figured why not get this two pack for $16.99 when shipping was going to cost me $8 for just Rodimus so I added this 2 pack to my cart. I do not regret almost paying $20 for these guys. I only wish these guys came with figure stands like most of the Marvel Universe today.
I've always liked it when a super hero/hero team has to fight an evil version of themselves. Something along the lines of "A person's greatest foe is themselves." When I was a child my favorite was when the Power Rangers had to fight evil Doppelgangers of themselves but Dark Spider-Man and Dark Wolverine are a little more awesome because they have much larger back stories.
These guys look really awesome in package and the little comic art in the left hand corner is pretty amazing. It's no wonder people in the comics mistake them for their heroic counter parts.
I regret not picking up Dark Hawk Eye now because I have all the other "Avengers" in this picture.
DS and DW both have the same articulation even though they have different bodies.
-Ball jointed head
-Rotates 360 at the shoulder and goes in an out
-Single jointed elbows
-Ball jointed above the abs
-Ball jointed hips
-Double jointed knees
-Ankles can move up and down and rotate 360
I don't know why I had this pose. To me it appears he's mocking Spider-Man.
Dark Wolverine is a little less cool. The best thing about him claws and the worst is how he is permanently hunched over with an elongated neck.
Red Hulk would have made an awesome addition to the Dark Avengers.
Dark Spider-Man Vs Iron Spider-Man
Kidnapping Mary Jane.
Over the years there's always been the occasional "Hulk Vs Wolverine" miniseries/art collection/cartoon so why not show what a "Dark Wolverine Vs Red Hulk" might look like.
If you see these in stories I would pick it up. I only ordered this online only because there are none in stores over here. The biggest flaw I think is how Dark Wolverine has this bright yellow circle over on his head. I was told this is normal for all the Dark Wolverines and it certainly does appear this way.
COLLECTORS: These guys look great going up against their heroic counter parts. For $16.99 that's less than getting two figures individually and these guys come with a comic which features tons of uniforms getting cut and shredded.
PARENTS: If your child is old enough and they want it then go ahead and pick this comic up. Cheaper than buying two individual figures and the kid gets a comic to look at. The comic is a little violent with people getting stabbed so maybe don't show your child those parts. Dark Wolverine's claws are also soft plastic so there is a low chance your child will hurt themselves there. The package says recommended for 3+
