Yay Joshin store again for having this cheap. Vanille was marked down to ¥1800 compared to her normal ¥4000. Compared to America over here the closest I can find her is on Amazon.com for $40. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. I haven't beaten FF XIII yet but from what I'm finding I like the cheerful characters in Final Fantasy. They're going up against world threatening events and they also have a positive attitude. Enough rambling here at some pictures for you to decide if you want to spend the money on her.
Didn't realize camera wasn't focused well. But she has a lot of detail. You can see the detail on each bead! But for articulation you can pretty much see it all in the picture! Single jointed knees and no ankle rockers though.
Vanille comes with an extra set of hands and a newer Play Arts Stand. She also comes with her weapon in storage and battle mode. I forgot what it is called. And after a quick google search it is called a Binding Rod...
Size comparison to FFVIII's Selphie. Vanille is taller because she is a Play Arts Kai figure and Selphie is one of the older Play Arts Kai. Vanille's feet area also smaller than Selphies.
Weapon storage.
Weapon extended.
I'm very happy with the Final Fantasy Play Arts line. I'm a little mad I cannot find the main characters for less than $40. I would really like to get the new Cloud and Squall but they're a bit too pricey for me now.
PARENTS: If you can find this for cheap then this is a good gift for teens and up if they like the Final Fantasy franchise. Try not to spend too much though. I feel $30 is the max I would pay for a figure like this.
COLLECTORS: I say only get this if you like the character. Doesn't come with too many accessories and I think you can find Hope and Snow for cheaper in America. Paying $40+ for this figure is a little steep. I personally would have gotten lightning but she's still pretty expensive everywhere I've seen her listed.
