Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde

I've actually had this toy for a while, but I was saving her for a time when I haven't purchased any toys for a while.   With my interests moving to Marvel Legends I decided to open her up after being sad about not finding any of the more popular ones in any stores around me.  The only new Marvel Legends I have seen near me are Drax, sometimes Captain Bucky, Ironman, and Claw.   Never anything else, so if I have some extra cash I may purchase some of the ones I want though Amazon.

Her toy doesn't even resemble this box art.  I'm a little disappointed after that but she fits my X-Men nicely.
The standard female sculpt was used for this toy.  But then I guess not much is needed to make this toy since her power is to become intangible.

She looks a little older in this toy form.  But that works well since she's now the Headmistress at the school.

This is an older Marvel Universe and she comes With her dragon Lockheed, a stand, a biocard, and a note.  Over here in the Bay Area targets we get older lines of MU but they're also peg warmers.   Buying them for $11.29 is becoming a pain for something so small especially when for five dollars more I can get a Marvel Legends figure.  (Although at Toys R Us Marvel Universe is a little cheaper at ~$10.49 but Marvel Legends are ~$21.99)

Lockheed.  This little guy is amazingly detailed and rubbery so he can move and bend.

Size comparison with Mary Jane's dog, Ms. Lion.

My X-Men team so far.   I've seen one Storm and one Jim Lee Cyclops but I passed those both up because their paint apps weren't that great.

PARENTS:  This toy doesn't have a lot of playability and Kitty doesn't really do much.  She doesn't even look that cool to be honest, but if your child is into collecting Marvel Universe X-Men then try to pick her up on sale.

COLLECTORS:  Unless you like Kitty Pryde or Lockheed then I would probably stay away from this toy.  She's the standard MU female body with only a new head and Lockheed.   As you may have noticed my X-Men do not share similar uniforms and I'm ok with that.
