Marvel Universe Jean Grey Review

I got Jean Grey from the Toy Fair a couple of weeks ago. I'm slowly opening them all up in failed attempts at me buying more toys.  This was the first time I felt the Marvel Universe figure was ok.   Jean isn't anything special compared to the other figures I've gotten.  If' you've read my other reviews on Mystique or Mary Jane then there isn't much to add.  The biggest thing I can see wrong with this toy is her inability to stand up straight because of her hair sculpt.

Jean looks cooler in package because it looks like she's levitating some kind of energy/flame.  I'm not too sure but weren't most of her attacks depicted as coming from her head area and not from her hands?

Right here you can tell she looks a little hunched over.  Her hair sculpt is really amazing for something so small.

Articulation is standard female Marvel Universe minus the waist rotation:
-Ball jointed head.  Cannot move well because hair gets in the way.
-Shoulders can do a 360 and move in an out.
-Single jointed elbows.
-Hands rotate at wrists.
-Ball jointed above the abs.
-Ball jointed hips.
-Double jointed knees
-Ankles rotate.

Jean's go her base, letter about her, bio card, and energy blast?

They eyes are kind of off.

She's always kinda leaning over.  Here you can tell her plastic on her torso and the plastic on her limbs are different colors.

I didn't want to shove this thing all the way on because I didn't want to break her fingers off.

Sized next to Iron Patriot and Cable

Not many cool poses.  Karate chop action.

I paid $10 for her and I feel like I overpaid.  Unless you really like Jean Grey I don't recommend getting her for that price.  Her powers aren't well represented and the hair sculpt making her hunched over really bugs me.

COLLECTORS:  I say only get this toy if you're a huge Jean Grey fan or if you're looking to complete your Marvel Universe X-Men collection.

PARENTS:  Because this is a female Marvel Universe figure I would recommend you get your child something else to play with.  The joints are smaller and the figure overall feels more fragile so it's better for this figure to remain in poses rather in become broken in a child's hands.
