Marvel Universe Cable Review

This is the Cable variant meaning he doesn't come with baby Hope.  I picked him up at the Toy Fair for $12 dollars.  I figured it was a good price because online Cable with baby version goes for $30+ while this one goes for $18+.  From Youtube reviews I's seen the baby Hope and X symbol do not attach to Cable very well.  I recommend getting this one unless you really want the baby because cable has enough loose parts already.

When I opened up Cable and went to move him limbs he broke at his left wrist.  I was angry because Cable is an awesome Marvel Universe figure.  He is in my top three figures to get from Marvel Universe.

Cyclops looks cool.  I didn't want to pay the $12 for him because he is a smaller figure.

You can see the break here.  My anger made me forget some pictures like the photo of his stuff...  Cable uses a new body and is taller than other Marvel Universe figures.  He's as tall as the Hulk characters and has a couple more points of articulation.

-Ball Jointed head.
-Shoulders can move in and out and rotated 360.
-Single Jointed elbows.
-Rotating wrists.  (Be careful!!! One twist sent my Cable to the emergency room.)
-Ball jointed ab crunch
-Rotates at waist
-Ball jointed hip
-Legs rotate below the hip.
-Double jointed knees
-Rotates below the knee
-Ankles can move up and down
-A smaller version of the ankle rockers.

His face sculpt looks really nice.  One regular eye and one techno organic eye.
On Cable is a upper harness/shoulder armor/rifle holster.  You can remove this but I wouldn't force it.  There's also a belt with leg holster attached.  This part is kind of annoying because if you rotate the waist the belt likes to move dragging the holster along with it.  His knee pads also are adjustable but they're annoying at times because they like to slide down.

 Cable comes with a pistol.

 A rifle.
A character base.

Psi-Mitar spear.

Size comparison with Winter Soldier and World War Hulk. Marvel really likes giving their characters metal left arms.

 WTF!!!!!

I swear these are two different shots.

Might as well just show off Cable holstering his stuff.

 And tah-duh hand fixed!!!

"The name's Cable" -curse your 90's cartoon from my childhood.

As you can see Cable's wrist is back! My friend Barry fixed him by drilling out the broken parts and sticking a screw into the peg.  The joint is stronger now that it is metal but I'm also very careful with it as to not destroy the plastic on the sides due to the metal rubbing against the plastic.  I highly recommend him if you can pick him up for cheap.  However around  here it's really hard to find the newer waves or more popular characters so try not to pay over $15 for him.

COLLECTORS:  Buy him!  Each Marvel Universe collection should have a Cable standing with them.

PARENTS:  Get this if your child wants it and you see retail.  If you see it for more money pass on it.  The child will probably break something on this guy.  He's really meant for posing.
