Hunt for the Decepticons: Human Alliance Sideswipe Review

I'm gonna do two toy posts today.  Only because after work I was asked to pick up milk and forks from Target but ran into a Toy Fair at the mall attached to the Target I decided to stop at.  After working a long and hard shift I feel lucky because I got to see an awesome Toy Fair.  Needless to say this thing is cash only so I have to get money for these Marvel Legends I want to buy.  Instead of getting six for $10 each I look up and see Sideswipe for $15.   I've always wanted a cheap Human Alliance figure and with no tax I didn't hesitate to add this to my purchase.

Long story short I got this guy for cheap.

I almost like Sideswipe's car mode better than his robot mode.  I think it is neat that a human can "Drive" him.  I've always wanted a Transformer where a human can fit inside and I got my wish.

That's pretty the most dynamic pose you can put your sideswipe in.  Any messing with the legs and feet make him fall down.

 Sleek and sexy car mode.

 Megan Fox can fit inside.

Megan Fox stands at about 2 and 1/4 inches.  Pretty awesome how much articulation she has.  Rotating head.  Shoulders move 360 and in and out.  She can sit down and has this weird knee joint.  I only wish her elbows would bend.
Robot mode is pretty cool.  Looks like Sideswipe from the movie with the addition of a seat on the right side of his back for Fox to shoot his shoulder gun and a rocket launcher added to his left side.
Sideswipe's arms are also way more articulated than his legs by design.  A little cool but he cannot do any dynamic poses.

Closer shot of Megan Fox in the gunner's seat.
 Battle mask off.

 Battle Mask on.  (default face)

A little bigger than a Deluxe figure the Human Alliance looks to be in better scale with leader class movie Optimus Prime.

I'm a little disappointed in this guy but only because he can't stand/pose well.  I really can't complain though since I got him for cheaper than what it costs to buy a deluxe Transformer right now(after tax,  curse you Bay Area prices!!!).

COLLECTORS:  You may want to pick up another Human Alliance figure for the $30 price tag.  This one isn't super posable so all you can really do is have him move his arms around doing different poses.

PARENTS:  Unless you are buying this for a teenager this is a difficult transformers.  I almost broke mine because I tried Transforming it without the instructions.   The Megan Fox figure is really fragile as well so any rough play with this figure probably isn't worth the $30+ price tag.
