*Warning very picture heavy. I couldn't find any other reviews on these figures as a group on the internet, in English. The most I could find was reviews on the Kirin armor figures because those are the cheapest ones in the set.*
***Monster hunter fans please forgive me if I type the wrong name for the armor sets. I'm going based on Memory here and I'll be using the American names for the armor sets. ***
This Review will cover the whole box set from packaging to my overall thoughts on these Motion Revive Monster Hunter figures.
I am a big fan of the Monster Hunter games. My interest first sparked when I first saw the ads for the Ps2 game in a PSM magazine. After looking at only ads in magazines and researching a little online I didn't hesitate to pick this game up when it first released. Yadda, yadda, yadda seven years later I still play the games as they are released in America. Capcom when are you going to release Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in America?!?!?!
Anywho I got these guys back in December, 2010 when my friend Barry noticed they were on sale at HobbyLink Japan for about twenty dollars a box. Doing some quick math we each would have to pay $30 a box which included shipping. A really nice deal since at the time I would see the most common figure, the Kirin Armor, go for at least $10 dollars without shipping on Ebay. A quick check right now and it seems that each figure goes for at least $24.50 on Ebay before shipping almost double for the Dragon Armor.
What you get in this set is: (I'm not sure what weapons came with what. I store them all in the same spot and it kind of all got jumbled. But just like the game your character can equip all the different weapons, of course depending on the armor type. ) They also come with two sets of hands to allow them to hold various weapons and tools.
-3 Kirin Armors with different skin tones. Dark, medium, and light. These are the most common set to find on Ebay. They also work well since KirinGunner and Blademaster armor look the same.
-2 "prey" gunners armor. I believe Giaprey(blue) and Ioprey(red) set.
-2 Rathalos blademasters . One regular (red) and one variant (silver).
-1 Dragon blademaster set.
So where we go all eight figures in this set. At first we thought since it was blind boxed it was somehow going to be all luck on what we got in the cases. But as it turns out it's all the same thing.
***I'm going to do individual reviews for each of these in the future. ***
I'll try to let the pictures do most of the explaining but if you want to pick up this set right now they still have some at HobbyLink Japan here.
Just a guy talking about stuff he finds interesting and if I think it's worth the money.

Marvel Universe Iron Patriot Review.
I always see a couple of Iron Patriots peg warming at all the Targets near my house and the reason I've never picked him up was the $9.59 price tag. So what do I do, I go and buy him for seven dollars off of Amazon. Not a huge savings but for that price I'm willing to pay seven dollars versus almost ten dollars for one of these little guys. I always thought this armor would be cooler if it was a Ironman wearing a Captain America version rather than a bad guy posing as a good guy. I recommend picking him up if you can.
NECA Sin City Miho Review
When I got Lion-O I also bought this toy for only six bucks on Amazon. It was under the recommendations listings so I thought I had nothing to lose. This toy blows. I wish I had saved the six dollars for eating out with my friends.
Looks pretty horrible in the box. Since this was NECA I had higher expectations for some reason. When I see NECA toys on the pegs they look a lot better than this and also boast a much higher price tag. But I guess I get what I paid for. I'll talk about more of the flaws other pictures.

2011 ThunderCats Lion-O Review
Transformers, Ninja Turtles, Gi-Joe, He-man, and ThunderCats. These were a few of my favorite shows from when I was a child. I've owned toys from all of these except one. Today changed that tradition when the doorbell rang and my package from Amazon arrived. It was Lion-O from Bandai's 2011 ThunderCats line!!!

Yay Presents from Japan
Almost as soon as I was done with the previous review I went to go check the mail. Along with a new gift package from my girlfriend (horray !!) I got jury duty summons (dangit). But here's a little something she sent me. Not pictured i the awesome Natto sticker which is now on the back of my phone. Thanks to the cell phone charm I now sound like a cat everywhere I go and Hot Wheel's cars have nothing on the mini trucks from Japan. Thanks dear!!!
Mini Gundam Review
***SUPER LAZY EDIT. I have been informed these guys cost ¥200-¥300 and not ¥100. Still worth it!!! ***
My super mega awesome girlfriend gave me these mini Gundams as gifts from Japan. The black on the in the middle was the first gift she gave me!!! She said they only cost a ¥100 and for that price point I am jealous at what he Japanese can get from their insert coin(s), twist the handle and a toy pops out machines. In comparison here in America there are similar machines that typically spit out gumballs, stickers, tattoos, or crappy mini toys for a a dollars worth of quarters. Sometimes there are good dollar machines that give out mini cars, cell phone charms, or mini statue like figures.

Marvel Concept Series Captain America and Red Skull Review
I went to Target yesterday with my friends. Getting there early meant I browsing the aisle all by my lonesome. I thought I found a good deal when I found this for $9.08. I thought this find was awesome for that price because I thought these would be two marvel universe-type figures. To cut the review short so I do not bore you. DO NOT BUY THESE FIGURES!!!

Transformers Battle in Space 2 pack Review
I picked this Transformers two pack up on a weekend trip with my friends. I believe we were going to Davis for the annual Picnic Day celebration and we stopped at Walmart. I believe I paid around twenty-two to twenty-five dollars for this which I think is a really good price considering one deluxe Transformer goes for $14.99. Hot Rod/Rodimus is my favorite Transformer and the Cyclonus mold shown here is really awesome. I won't bore you with too many details here since there are many, many video and written reviews on these two guys here (mainly all their different repaints). I mainly wanted to show off how awesome they were and write a few words of encouragement for people to buy this 2-pack while it is still nice and cheap.

NECA C.Viper Review
I actually ordered Crimson Viper and the Marvel Universe Mystique at the same time. After I added Mystique to my cart, Amazon recommended NECA's C.Viper for about ten dollars. I couldn't resist since I have Amazon Prime's free two day shipping. I should have bought the Ken and Ryu toys when they were cheaper, but gone are the days when me and my friends would spend drunken weekends playing fighting games.
In comparison when I see NECA toys in stores they are usually at least fifteen dollars and I've never seen the Street Fighter line in any name brand store. Buying a NECA Guile, Ken, or Ryu from the same Street Fighter 4 line commands double, triple, or even quadruple the price of what I paid for C.Viper. Sometimes I get lucky on BigBadToystore.com because they have some great bi-monthly sales. I have to be quick about getting a figure because BBTS is a popular toy website and stuff sells out fast.
***FEEL FREE TO SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH. DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL REVIEW***
What I've found myself doing this year is buying the female figures for a toy line because they are a lot cheaper than the male figures. Female figures have the similar articulation and quality control as their male counterparts. I also use the cheap female figures to gauge on whether or not I want to shell out the extra money to buy the main characters I really want. This method worked with DCUC Power Girl who was only an amazing five dollars on Amazon. I've gone on to own eight more DC figures, with most of those being female since they only cost around eight to twelve dollars. On the other hand I bought a Play Arts Yuffie from Advent Children for only ten dollars on Amazon. I really wanted the Cloud with motorcycle but he costs about fifty bucks. Once I got Yuffie I was happy with the figure but I really can't see myself shelling out the extra forty dollars for Cloud. I like to think of these cheaper female figures as an inexpensive sample of what's to come. Plus I never noticed how many "male" figures I have in my collection.
Here is C.Viper in box. Trying to take a picture of her in box proved to be difficult because of the glare. I also do not own a light box or have lights set up to take pictures just yet so please bear with me. Having C.Viper in package did her no justice. She didn't look too appealing and almost too dirty in some places. The pose she came in looked like she didn't want to fight and had her staring off into space.

Marvel Universe Mystique Review
For my first review I'll be looking at Marvel Universe Mystique. I have a lot of toys mainly consisting of Transformers but I decided do my first post on a new toy I received in the mail today. I paid eleven dollars for this toy though Amazon.com. My friend Barry was the one who got me to start buying these little 3.75 inch figures and they're pretty nifty because they boast many points of articulation and don't take up a whole lot of space. Displaying five of these little guys takes up about as much room as three deluxe Transformers. Alright enough of my jibber jabber and let's get on with looking at the toy.

Hello
Hi there!
Welcome to my blog. Here I will be reviewing a whole bunch of different and exciting things! ...mainly toys and video games. I'll be including details such as the price I paid for each item as well as where to possibly obtain said item. I want to help others make informed decisions on whether or not to buy the item I'm reviewing. I'm still working out the kinks on how I want to present this blog so bear with me. In the meantime I'll try to produce something fun and entertaining for all.
